Mehndi is an ancient Indian body art applied during Hindu weddings and special occasions.

Elaborate designs and exotic patterns are applied to various parts of the body – primarily on the palm and the back of the hand of the bride and female wedding guests; additionally, mehndi may also be applied to the feet of the bride.
