What does Engagement Session mean? | Definition of Engagement Session by Weddings for a Living

The series of photos taken by a professional wedding photographer during the couple's engagement is known as an engagement session.

This is a good ‘practice run' for the couple to see firsthand if the photographer is someone they are comfortable having take their wedding photos on the actual wedding day.

Photos from the engagement session can be used for wedding announcements, wedding websites, save-the-dates, keepsakes and more.
