‘How to Blog your Wedding Business’ Book Review

If you’re running your own wedding planning business and looking for an effective and affordable way to get the attention of engaged couples, area wedding professionals and the local media, then, you should seriously consider starting a blog.

But, what, exactly, should you write about?

Claire Gould is the creator of several popular UK wedding blogs and as the author of ‘How to Blog your Wedding Business’, she answers this daunting question and a few of the others that I know you have.

This is a quick read and touches on a few technical aspects of setting up a blog.  But its real strength is on what type of content is the most effective for your  wedding business blog so that you can get the attention and traffic (both web and foot) that you need to be successful.

If you’re already blogging, you may find this book to be a little  too basic for you.  But, for me, the low investment (I have the Kindle edition) was definitely worth it.

HAPPY PLANNING!

  1. Hi Debbie!

I am so excited that I found your website. I have spent hours browsing and soaking up as much knowledge as I can. I am a young (23) aspiring wedding planner who just moved to DC from NYC with a few years of event planning and decor experience through internships and university. I am working towards starting my own business in the near future.

I would love to know more about using my blog (the link above) to launch my business. I have had the blog since college, but have recently been able to trade in late nights finishing papers, to late nights drafting blog posts. In this technology-filled age, do you find digital or face-to-face interactions more effective?

I appreciate any advice you can give!

    Thanks,
    Nataki
