A pew card identifies reserved seating at a wedding ceremony.
If your clients have reserved specific pews for family and/or close friends at the wedding ceremony venue, then pew cards will tell those special people which pew (the pew number) to sit in.
Or, if a group of pews is sectioned off by using a ribbon on the aisle side–as opposed to specifying pew numbers–the pew card will simply state ‘within the ribbon’.
Upon arrival to the wedding ceremony, guests show their pew card to an usher who escorts them to the reserved pew or seating area.
A pew card is either included with the wedding invitation or sent separately to guests after the couple has received responses.
