  1. Hi Debbie!

I loved this episode, and thank you for hosting it! Unlike some folks out there, I do not have a full-time job, Wedding Planning IS my full-time job! You have been an invaluable resource for me, and I’m addticted to your site!
I have been trying to find ways to add services that make sense for me and where I want my business to go. I LOVE what I do however……marketing has been difficult! I have been in business on my own for nearly 2 years. During my first year I ended up working at a venue as a venue manager. I thought, I could get to know other vendors, build relationships with them. In a way networking and get educated while I get paid! It was a great experience! I ended up getting hired at that venue as some of the brides’ Day Of coordinator! Yay me!
I quit working there in Septetmber and really hit it hard with marketing myself, networked, and started advertising in a local bridal and event magazine and Wedding Wire. It has been super slow but did get a gig for this coming New Years’ Eve! I hope to continue to do this but would love to get advise as to how to advertise my niche which is, Vintage/shabby chic, garden-style /Barn weddings. How do I market this to attract those brides? I will be participating in the big Seattle Wedding Show(first time!), and I’d like to launch it there. Any suggestions? I know you are probably super busy but when possible I’d love to hear back from you! And again, I am so gratful to you and your website!

    Warmly,
    Diana
